One of the most eagerly-anticipated additions to Audi’s all-electric portfolio, the Q6 e-tron will make its way to Australia in the first half of the new year offering both rear-wheel drive and quattro variants as well as the high-performance SQ6 e-tron at launch.

Audi Australia has confirmed that the groundbreaking Q6 e-tron, the first vehicle designed using the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture developed in conjunction with Porsche, will launch with three distinct variants next year.

Although exact pricing and specification will not be confirmed until closer the launch date, the Australian range will consist of the rear-wheel drive Q6 e-tron SUV Performance, the Q6 SUV quattro and the range-topping SQ6 e-tron quattro.

The Q6 e-tron models represent a quantum shift in the brand’s electrification plans, the PPE platform a technological leap that will form the basis of future electric Audi models. The arrival of the Q6 e-tron range  will set new standards for what electric models can do, as well as showcasing new technology and design languages both inside and out.

Indeed the Q6 e-tron will introduce the brand’s new interior design language which takes Audi’s reputation for creating outstanding interiors to new levels.

Making the most of the superior space made possible by the purpose-designed PPE format, the new interior design also melds cutting-edge new technology with the all-new Digital Stage not just creating a new interior centrepiece but rather a new drive focused ‘command centre’. The Digital Stage essentially combines the Audi virtual cockpit with the MMI touch display in a large panoramic display that sweeps almost the width of the dash assembly. In another first for Audi, all Q6 e-tron variants launched in Australia will include a 10.9-inch front passenger touch screen display, which allows the front passenger to interact with the vehicle’s systems independently, but without distracting the driver.

Specification for all Q6 e-tron models will be impressive, from its high-capacity 800-volt electrical systems for faster charging, to the latest Matrix LED headlights with their multiple light signature options.

The range-topping SQ6 e-tron will also feature the likes of air suspension as standard as well as the latest OLED taillights technology in addition to scintillating performance and handling that has been lauded by the international press after recently experiencing the vehicles first hand.

Exact specification and pricing for the Q6 e-tron and SQ6 e-tron’s Australian introduction will be confirmed closer to to their local launch, but to be kept up-to-date with all new developments, simply register your interest at audi.com.au

The vehicles shown are international press vehicles and do not reflect the final specification available for the Australian market.
