Audi Australia has announced the addition of a TFSI entry-model to the Q7 range available Down Under, arriving early in 2025. Designated the Q7 45 TFSI quattro, the seven-seat luxury SUV will touch down from $108,815* and join the 45 TDI quattro ($117,284*) at the entry end of the Q7 model range in Australia, which is bookended by the recently released, high-performance Audi SQ7 TFSI quattro ($174,815*).

The new Q7 45 TFSI quattro brings to the ranks all of the size, style and luxury accommodation that has characterised the Q7 since its arrival in Australia way back in 2006, as well as offering up a host of cutting-edge technology and appointment. The new model heralds in a raft of exterior design upgrades for the Q7 which further advance that original large SUV shape that was first seen as the Pikes Peak concept design at the North American International Motor Show in 2003. Still immediately recognisable as an Audi Q7, refinements to the Singleframe grille in particular as well as the addition of Matrix LED headlights and a more linear rear treatment give the new Q7 a more contemporary look. Its quattro all-wheel drive is of course a given in this large end of the Audi Q family, while the inclusion of a powerful yet efficient four-cylinder, 2.0-litre TFSI power plant allows this variant to be offered at a particular keen price point.

Delivering 185kW of power and 370Nm of torque, the TFSI propels the new Q7 from rest to 100km/h in a shade over seven seconds (7.3 seconds), with power going down to all four wheels through the quattro system.

Ride and handling too have long been hallmarks of the Q7 and the 45 TFSI quattro hits that mark as well. With adaptive air suspension as a standard inclusion, the Q7’s signature smooth ride across all road surfaces is a feature which belies the vehicle’s size and ability to carry up to seven passengers thanks to the electric folding third row of seats.

Indeed the Q7 is the only Audi able to carry seven passengers, which has long endeared it to a legion of fans. Its sumptuous interior offers up a perfect blend of space and leading-edge technology in a beautifully-finished cabin. While the driver enjoys handling and elevated driving position, passengers can revel in the limousine-like ride and enjoy the latest in infotainment and connectivity.

From the latest MMI navigation plus to the Audi connect plus which literally brings a world of navigation, entertainment, security and assistance features right into the vehicle, the Q7’s place as one of the most accomplished large, luxury all-rounders is well deserved.

The new entry-level Q7 45 TFSI will be available from the Audi national dealer network early in the new year.
